On March 10, Sony China refuted recent rumors that its new smartphones may cease sales in China, affirming the stability of all its operations in the country, including its smartphone business. China remains one of Sony’s most important overseas markets, with optimistic prospects for future development, said Sony China to the state-owned media Global Times. Earlier financial reports revealed a notable downturn in revenue for Sony’s mobile communications sector during the July to September period last year, particularly concerning Xperia smartphones.
