Carries Suicide Squad Isekai in the US
We’ve seen DC’s Suicide Squad in many iterations, including live-action film versions, animated cartoons and video game characters. Now, fans will get to see this ragtag group of supervillains assemble in anime form in Suicide Squad Isekai.
Under Amanda Waller’s strict watch, Harley Quinn, Peacemaker, Deadshot, King Shark and Clayface are sent through a portal into another world to complete a mission where magic, dragons and orcs exist. Will they pull it off in time, with ticking bombs attached to their necks? Captured and out of options, they wind up on a battlefield.
Directed by Eri Osada, the 10-episode series features music by Tomoyasu Hotei and Mori Calliope. Though Joker makes an appearance in the show, a few other baddies will also show up — get ready for anime renderings of Rat Catcher, Enchantress, The Thinker and Killer Croc.

Release date and where to stream ‘Suicide Squad Isekai’
Suicide Squad Isekai will debut on Thursday, June 27 on Max and Hulu in the US. Episodes will air each week on Thursdays until the season 1 finale in August.
If you have standalone subscriptions to both Disney Plus and Hulu, or you’re a Disney bundle customer, you may also watch Hulu content within the Disney Plus app.
Max is home to a slew of DC content, including originals, films and animated releases. You can also stream titles from HBO, Discovery, TLC and more. A basic subscription with ads costs $10 per month, but you can go ad-free for $17 a month or upgrade to the 4K ad-free version for $21 per month.
Hulu starts at $8 per month to stream with ads, while Hulu without ads costs $18 a month. If you prefer a cablelike experience, get Hulu with Live TV for $77 a month, which includes access to more than 90 channels, as well as Disney Plus, on-demand Hulu content and ESPN Plus (with ads).
You can also opt for one of the Disney Bundles: Hulu and Disney Plus with ads for $10 a month; Hulu and Disney Plus without ads for $20 a month; Hulu, Disney Plus and ESPN Plus with ads for $15 a month; or Hulu and Disney Plus without ads and ESPN Plus with ads for $25 a month.
