The sub RM1000 mid-range phone category has gotten more exciting, as ZTE has introduced the nubia Neo 5G to the Malaysian market, the phone features a cyberpunk style design on its back and has a lot to appeal to budget gamers for under RM1000.
Powered by a UNISOC T820 processor that goes up to 2.7GHz, the nubia Neo 5G is equipped with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage, a 6.6-inch IPS display pushes FHD+ resolution and refreshes at 120Hz, a 4500mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging and ships with Android 13 out of the box.
For intensive gaming sessions, the nubia Neo 5G has a multi-layer heat dissipation system that ensures a smooth and optimal gameplay, while it also comes with a battery bypass feature that lets users power the phone with the charger and pauses charging, effectively preventing the battery from overheating while gaming.
In terms of cameras, the nubia Neo 5G has a dual camera setup that comprises at 50-megapixel main camera assisted by a 2-megapixel depth camera, while the front camera takes 8-meagpixel stills.
The nubia Neo 5G will support Malaysia 5G networks and comes in color options of Phantom Balck and War-Damaged Yellow, preorders begin on 16th-23rd July 2023, and the first 50 customers will be able to score the phone for RM869 instead of its usual price of RM899, customers will also be given a free Red Magic Turbo Cooler worth RM269 during the preorder period.
