Ulefone touts its Armor 24 as a rugged smartphone that doubles as its own emergency lighting system thanks to its large rear-mounted LED rated for up to 1,000 lumens of brightness. It also serves to eclipse the smartphone’s very well-worn 4G/LTE-only SoC – then again, the platform drives a more or less up-to-date display and runs an Android 13-based OS.
Ulefone has followed its Armor 23 Ultra announcement up with the 24, a smartphone with an iPhone 15-esque dedicated side button of its own. Then again, it is there to control the device’s rear-mounted lamp, with 3 different brightness levels that might go up to 1,000 lumens.
It is thus touted to brighten up any task with a 6-watt (W) beam of a “significant distance“, yet to go easy on the Armor 24’s battery with a “510-piece” LED. That battery is 22,000mAh in any case, and, furthermore, is replenished with decently fast 66W charging technology.
The Armor 24’s “7-day non-stop powerhouse battery” also lets the smartphone act as a 10W power bank, and keeps a 6.78-inch FHD+ 120Hz display with Gorilla Glass 5 on. It is let down by the almost predictable inclusion of the MediaTek Helio G96 processor for “global” 4G/LTE, however.
Then again, the SoC is paired to 256GB of expandable storage and 12GB of RAM, which is also “expandable” by another 12GB within its Android 13-based UI. Ulefone has yet to announce US pricing or availability for the Armor 24.
