For the first time, the Xiaomi 13T Pro profits from the Leica partnership.
The Xiaomi 13T Pro impressed us in our test with its powerful performance and very good Leica main camera. In comparison to the predecessor generation, lots has been improved on, meaning its many new features should make themselves well known in everyday use.

If you’re on the hunt for a high-end phone that gives you great value for your money, then look no further than the Xiaomi 13T Pro. Even 12T Pro users will notice the extensive improvements in everyday use. Especially its cameras show big upgrades. The 13T Pro’s new 50-MPix lens takes great quality photos in daylight as well as in darker conditions – the weak low-light performance of its predecessor’s 200-MP camera has now become one of the 13T Pro’s strengths.
The Xiaomi 13T Pro’s case looks much more grown up, too. While the Xiaomi 12T Pro battled with slightly thicker bezels, a plastic frame and no IP certification, its successor gets to benefit from a more efficient display-to-surface ratio and a water-resistant case. The installed AMOLED display proves to be a great upgrade as well. In our brightness measurements, the 13T Pro’s panel achieved values over 1,200 cd/m² when depicting a pure white screen – about a third brighter than its predecessor. Furthermore, we achieved an astounding 2,489 cd/m² when playing back our 4K HDR pattern video.
It’s a bit of a shame that Xiaomi hasn’t given its high-end smartphone anything better than the outdated USB standard 2.0 that also doesn’t support wired image output – here, we see some room for improvement. In our copying test using a connected M.2 SSD drive (Samsung 980 Pro), the Xiaomi 13T Pro achieved very low transfer rates of 40 MB/s.
Do you place great importance on a smartphone with a very good camera and you’re on the hunt for a high-end phone? Then take a look at our detailed review of the Xiaomi 13T Pro. At the time of writing, the Xiaomi phone can be found on Amazon for around US$780.

I have always been very passionately interested in mobile technologies, especially smartphones. Being a tech enthusiast means the half-life of my devices isn’t exactly long, and being the latest hardware is not enough to suffice as the manufacturer and operating system play a minor role – the most important aspect for me is that the device is state-of-the-art. After posting for Mobi Test I joined Notebookcheck in 2016, where I have been pursuing my enthusiasm for technology by reviewing the latest smartphone, tablet, and accessory trends.

Originally from Scotland, I grew up and lived in Germany until I completed my high school qualifications before moving back to Scotland to complete my university studies. Growing up bilingual led me to form a close relationship with the English and German languages, often working in the fields of teaching and translation. Most of my childhood was shaped by playing around on new consoles, computers and gadgets and getting to grips with the new craze of the internet and smartphones. This interest has stayed with me well into adulthood. Nowadays, I live in Glasgow and work as a freelance translator and digital media coordinator. I have been translating for Notebookcheck since early 2023.
