On July 8th, Xiaomi officially announced that the new generation of Xiaomi smartphones’ smart factory has started full-scale production. The latest Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 / MIX Flip folding screen phones will be born from this and will be released this month.
According to official sources, the new generation of Xiaomi smartphones’ intelligent factory achieves 100% automation of key processes through in-depth self-research on “manufacturing equipment”; completes the industry-leading construction of the “full-chain industrial big data” infrastructure, and achieves 100% digitization of industrial production.
Xiaomi stated that the 100% self-developed ‘Xiaomi HyperOS Intelligent Manufacturing Platform’ is the brain of the factory, injecting soul into the factory, enabling the entire factory to possess self-awareness, self-decision-making, and self-execution capabilities. It can autonomously diagnose equipment issues, improve process flows, achieve end-to-end digitalized management from raw material procurement to delivery, and become an evolving truly intelligent factory.
Lei Jun revealed that the new generation Xiaomi smartphone intelligent factory in Changping, Beijing has an investment of 2.4 billion yuan, a construction area of 81,000 square meters, and an annual production capacity of 10 million flagship smartphones. It has obtained the certification as a “national-level intelligent manufacturing benchmark enterprise.” This year Xiaomi completed two intelligent factories: the Changping smartphone factory and the Yizhuang automobile factory.
Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 folding screen smartphone has passed the 3C network certification, and the rear rendering image has also been exposed. The device supports Beidou satellite communication, as well as 5G-enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) technology.
