In light of a contentious election, the pro-Western President of Georgia has called upon the global community to support her nation following what she describes as “outright election manipulation.”
Salome Zourabichvili, expressing solidarity with opposition voices, has mobilized citizens to take to the streets on Monday. In an interview with BBC reporter Steve Rosenberg, she labeled this as a ”pivotal time” for the country.

The ruling party, Georgian Dream, along with electoral authorities maintain that their claim of approximately 54% electoral support reflects a legitimate outcome.
