Running back Ezekiel Elliott is hoping to help the Dallas Cowboys win a Super Bowl when he returns on a one-year deal for the 2024 season.
“We’ve got unfinished business,” Elliott told reporters Wednesday, per Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News. “I’m here to chase a ring.”

Elliott is returning to the Cowboys, where he began his NFL career, after spending the 2023 season with the New England Patriots.
He will play in Dallas on a one-year deal worth up to $3 million, which offers up to $1 million in incentives based on yards, touchdowns, playing time and playoffs, according to ESPN’s Todd Archer.
The veteran running back celebrated his return to the Cowboys with a social media post earlier this week:

RUN IT BACK
Elliott recorded 642 rushing yards and three touchdowns in 2023 during the first season of his career as a backup.
During his age-29 season in Dallas, he is likely to resume his former RB1 position after the team lost veteran running back Tony Pollard to free agency.
The No. 4 pick of the 2016 draft, Elliott played the first seven seasons of his NFL career with the Cowboys. He was named to three Pro Bowls and led the league in rushing yards twice during his tenure in Dallas.
Elliott never made it past the divisional round with the Cowboys, a team that hasn’t passed that point since their 1995 Super Bowl win. The running back is ready to see that change this winter.
