Kate Middleton and Roman Kemp on the ‘Shaping Us’ campaign
Roman Kemp revealed his mum and Kate Middleton have been trading homegrown products.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Roman, 30, shared that his mum Shirlie Kemp, 61, has kept in contact with the royal, as the Capital Breakfast host dished all after he partnered with McCain to support their regenerative farming campaign.
The Princess of Wales visited his family home earlier this year after she teamed up with the radio presenter for a short film about mental wellbeing after she launched her early years development campaign.
“My mum and dad have this lovely house that they have been working on and there is a big apple tree and they have started making their own apple juice from it,” he explained.
The One Show presenter shared that Prince George is now “obsessed” with his parents’ homegrown apple juice.

Roman continued: “My mum gave [Princess Kate] a crate of this apple juice that they made and she obviously took it home.
“Because the next time I saw her she was like, ‘Oh my God! Please can you say thank you to your mum and we need some more of that apple juice because George is obsessed with it. He keeps saying mum, ‘I want the apple juice.’
“So Kate and my mum have been trading that apple juice.”
The TV personality added that Kate has also been sending his parents her very own homemade honey.

He commented: “Kate has been sending [them] honey that she makes. So my mum gets the honey [from the princess] and mum has been sending off the apple juice to Kate.”
Meanwhile, self-confessed Farm Newbie, Roman, has teamed up with McCain to help shine a light on the positive impact regenerative farming can have on the planet.
New research from McCain has revealed a third of Brits admit to not knowing what farms do or where their food actually comes from, with Gen Z being over four times more likely than those over 55 to admit this.
Roman spent the day at Rectory Farm in Oxfordshire where he met farmer Imogen Stanley who grows potatoes for McCain as well as “Pick Your Own” strawberries, blackberries, asparagus and more.
The radio host learned about new farming practices including planting wildflowers to attract birds and insects to how moving the soil less helps to keep it healthy.
Speaking about working with McCain, Roman commented: “I loved my day at Imogen’s farm, I got to ride in the tractor and even met a soil health expert – who knew there was such a job!
“I learnt about methods including crop rotation to improve soil health and wildflower planting to keep bad bugs at bay, as well as how McCain will be training and funding all its farmers in regenerative practices to ensure the future of our beloved chips.”
McCain is partnering with its growers to re-imagine the way it grows potatoes, with a commitment to 10 per cent regenerative farming by 2030.
