The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Monday, June 24, the elimination of Muhammad Salah, a significant figure in Hamas’ weapons manufacturing operations. Salah, responsible for overseeing projects and development in Hamas’ Weapons Manufacturing Headquarters, was targetted in an Israeli Air Force (IAF) airstrike based on precise intelligence.
“Last night (Sunday), following IDF intelligence, IAF aircraft eliminated the terrorist Muhammad Salah, who was responsible for projects and development in Hamas’ Weapons Manufacturing Headquarters. Salah was part of a project to develop strategic weaponry for the Hamas terrorist organization, and he commanded a number of Hamas terrorist squads that worked on developing weapons,” IDF said in statement.
According to the IDF, Salah played a pivotal role in developing strategic weaponry for Hamas and commanded several squads focused on weapons development. His elimination marks a notable blow to Hamas’ capabilities in the Gaza Strip.
In parallel with this operation, IDF troops have been conducting targetted missions in the Rafah area of southern Gaza. These missions have led to the discovery and seizure of large quantities of weapons. In the Tel al-Sultan area, IDF forces dismantled launchers used in attacks against Israeli troops during recent conflicts.
Over the past 24 hours, the IDF has reported eliminating several armed terrorists who posed immediate threats during their operations in Rafah. Additionally, multiple tunnel shafts used by militants were located and destroyed.
“IDF troops are continuing their operational activity in central Gaza. The troops identified several terrorists who were operating in the area and eliminated them in a drone strike.”
Operational activities continue in central Gaza, where IDF troops, utilising drone strikes, identified and eliminated additional terrorists. The IAF has also conducted strikes against various targets, including tunnel shafts and armed squads, further crippling terrorist infrastructure in the region.
“The IAF also struck numerous terror targets in the Gaza Strip, including tunnel shafts, armed terrorist squads, and additional terrorist infrastructure.”
