Taylor Swift has a new single out, and it’s quickly rising on a number of Billboard’s airplay charts. “Fortnight,” her collaboration with Post Malone, became an instant smash on some rankings, while on the radio lists, it’s taking a few weeks to rise to the highest reaches. As that tune continues to soar, one of her other recent wins is back in a very unexpected turn of events.

“Bad Blood (Taylor’s Version)” returns to the Adult Contemporary chart this week. The radio ranking lists the tracks that rack up the largest number of total audience impressions across stations in the U.S. that focus on the pop subgenre, which is typically aimed at more mature listeners.

This frame, “Bad Blood (Taylor’s Version)” reappears at No. 26 on the 30-spot ranking. That’s the tune’s high point, which it set back in March of this year.

“Bad Blood (Taylor’s Version)” has now racked up eight stays on the Adult Contemporary chart. Many of those weeks on the tally have been one-at-a-time, as the song never seemed to stay on the list for very long…though so far, it’s always been able to return.

The fact that “Bad Blood (Taylor’s Version)” ever appeared on the Adult Contemporary chart is a bit surprising, as the song was never pushed as a proper single. It’s relatively rare, though it’s not unheard of, for tracks that don’t have promotion behind them to land on the competitive radio lists. When “Bad Blood (Taylor’s Version)” was released, the singer was busy pushing other titles, so the success of this cut–both at first and in the months since it debuted–has been somewhat eyebrow-raising.

That the song is now returning—and doing as well as it ever has—during this very busy period for Swift is shocking. The focus is on “Fortnight,” and if not that cut, several other hit singles that were much more popular…but it seems there’s always room for more from the singer-songwriter.

“Bad Blood (Taylor’s Version)” was featured on Swift’s album 1989 (Taylor’s Version). The singer re-recorded the smash–along with much of her early catalog–in an effort to regain control over that music following the sale of the rights connected to much of her work. It reached the Adult Contemporary ranking for the first time in February of this year, months after it was first made available.

The original “Bad Blood” was also a hit on the same chart. The original iteration of the electro cut debuted on the Adult Contemporary tally in June 2015. It would go on to rise as high as No. 9 that September.

“Bad Blood (Taylor’s Version)” is one of five hits Swift claims on the Adult Contemporary radio ranking. Her singles “Cruel Summer,” “Anti-Hero,” “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)” and “Fortnight” are all either holding still or rising this time around.
