ESPN has announced the nominees for The 2024 ESPYS presented by Capital One, which include a list of exceptional athletes in the respective fields of basketball, football, baseball, golf, NASCAR, gymnastics, UFC, and so much more.
The prestigious event — hosted by Serena Williams — will honor the top athletes and sport performances of the year from fan favorites including Patrick Mahomes, Caitlin Clark, A’ja Wilson, Juju Watkins, Simone Biles, and more.
For Clark, she tops the categories as she’s nominated for Best Athlete Women’s Sports, Best College Athlete Women’s Sports, and Best Record-Breaking Performance. A’ja Wilson is also up for Best Athlete Women’s Sports and Best WNBA Player — as her team, Las Vegas Aces, are also nominated for Best Team.

Also leading nominations is Patrick Mahomes, who’s up for Best Athlete Men’s Sports and Best NFL Player, as his Kansas City Chiefs team is also up for a nom. Shohei Ohtani is also gunning for the same categories, with exception of the Best MLB Player category. As both athletes have won Best Athlete before, one of them would be joining LeBron James, Lance Armstrong, and Tiger Woods as the only athletes to win the category multiple times.
Other notable nominees include gymnast Simone Biles, NBA player Jaylen Brown, tennis player Coco Gauff, WNBA player Juju Watkins, and more.
Voting for fans will be open until 5 PM ET on July 11 ahead of the winners being announced that evening live at 8 PM ET on ABC.
