Just days after its fourteenth and final season came to an end, FXX has announced that Sterling Archer and his fellow agents are set to return for one last hurrah with a feature-length special finale event.
Announced today at New York Comic Con, “Archer: Into the Cold” will be a three-parter that will mark the official ending of the Emmy-winning adult animated comedy series.
The most recent season saw Lana at the helm of the agency with a goal to make money while also making the world a better place. She quickly discovered running a spy agency isn’t so simple.
The fourteenth season finale ended with the agency getting the news that the UN had declared all private spy agencies illegal and ordered them to shut down within thirty days.
Plot details for the finale event are under wraps but all the regulars are expected back including H. Jon Benjamin as Archer, Aisha Tyler as Lana, Chris Parnell as Cyril, Judy Greer as Cheryl, series creator Adam Reed as Ray, Amber Nash as Pam and Lucky Yates as Dr. Krieger.
This new finale will air Sunday, December 17th on FX as well as FXX, and will stream the next day on Hulu.
