Australian Guitar #159 is on sale now, featuring Eric Clapton, St Vincent, Kerry King, Slash and (would you believe it) more

Sure, you could technically say that Australian Guitar is a 100 page magazine, but somehow issue #159 manages to feel like it contains many, many more pages than that. It’s a slim mag on the newsstands, but it takes on Tolstoyan proportions once opened. 

Forgive the hyperbole but it’s a significantly huge issue. Our cover star is Eric Clapton, and inside is a 24 page history of the man’s legacy, tracing his path from the ’60s through to the late ’80s. 

You might think this leaves little space for anything else. Think again! Big feature-length interviews with Slash, St Vincent and Kerry King are also inside, not to mention chats with The Dirty Three, Black Lava, Red Kross, the Lovely Eggs and more.

We’ve also got a four page tutorial on some of the particular’s of Slash’s technique, as well as some lessons on effective blues rhythm accompaniment. All that, in addition to our usual gear reviews including Fender, Yamaha, EVH, Epiphone and more.
