The third “Deadpool” movie is currently shooting in the United Kingdom, so far they’ve not been heavily impacted by the writer’s strike as the production has had to stick to the scripts they have.
Issues of making further changes have likely been lessened by the lead character’s face often being covered in a mask and actor Ryan Reynolds’ doing ADR once the strike is over.
Various online forums have been discussing rumors of the cameos in the film, a rather wild list of names of potential characters to show up and satirise the trend of multiverse movies.
The result is a whole bevy of rumored appearances ranging from Channing Tatum as Gambit to Ben Affleck as Daredevil. Whilst that’s all pure speculation, one of the earliest rumors regarding the film may hold weight.
DeadpoolUpdates reports that Owen Wilson posed for a photograph with fans in London the other day, adding evidence to the rumor that his “Loki” character of Mobius will appear in “Deadpool 3”.
The Hot Mic’s Jeff Sneider reportedly first broke the news of Wilson’s potential appearance back in March with the Time Variance Authority (TVA) from the “Loki” series supposedly getting involved in Deadpool’s multiversal interference.
Wilson was last reportedly attached to Nancy Meyers’ costly “Paris Paramount” feature at Netflix until the project was scrapped over budgetary issues.
He’ll be seen in the second season of “Loki” which returns on October 6th. “Deadpool 3” is due in cinemas May 3rd 2024.
