Five Nights at Freddy’s proved it had enough scares to win its second domestic weekend box office with ticket sales of $19.4 million.
As reported by Comscore, Five Nights at Freddy’s has reached $113.6 million in North America and $217.1 million worldwide. It did, however, have a pretty big 76% drop from its record-breaking opening weekend that saw domestic ticket sales of $78 million and international ticket sales of $52 million.
In our Five Nights at Freddy’s review, we said, “This big-screen take on the indie-horror sensation has too much plot and not enough of the game’s primal security-cam thrills.”
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour placed second in its fourth weekend with $13.5 million, bringing its North American total to $166 million. Worldwide, Taylor Swift’s concert film has earned a stunning $231.0 worldwide.
Killers of the Flower Moon placed third with $7.0 million, Priscilla took fourth place with $5.0 million, and Radical rounded out the top five with $2.7 million.
Killers of the Flower Moon has now earned $52.3 million domestically and $119.2 million worldwide. Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla, which is based on the 1985 memoir Elvis and Me by Priscilla Presley and Sandra Harmon, expanded to more theaters after a limited run last weekend.
