With the SAG-AFTRA strike over, film productions are already underway again with shooting having begun or about to begin on a number of titles halted partway through filming.
That includes “Deadpool 3” which is expected to restart filming in the UK prior to the Thanksgiving holiday this coming Thursday.
Today, the film’s co-star Hugh Jackman has posted a workout video of himself getting back into the gym and hitting the weights ahead of the return of filming.
The video, in which Jackman deadlifts 163kg/360lbs, includes the caption LFG (Let’s F—- Go) along with the hashtag #becomingwolverineagainagain.
The Shawn Levy-directed project was one of the most high-profile movies that had to suspend filming due to the strike and was said to be halfway through its shoot when it hit pause.
It was previously scheduled to be released on May 3rd 2024 but will now open July 26th 2024 and will be the sole Marvel Studios title opening in 2024 as everything else impacted by the strikes – “Captain America: Brave New World,” “Thunderbolts,” “Blade” – have all been delayed to 2025.
