Jax Taylor has backtracked on claims that his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, already moved on.
On Wednesday, the Bravo star, 44, responded to a fan on X who asked about the status of their relationship, writing, “we are working things out.”
Referencing Tuesday’s season finale of the “The Valley,” which showed Taylor and Cartwright’s bombshell fight that led to their split, he added, “what you saw was filmed months ago.”

Several fans were excited about the possibility of the former couple working on their marriage, with one user writing, “Pulling for you Jax. You’ve got a great family. Your boy is an absolute gem.”
“We’re on your side. Good luck! Also, Bro, go to therapy. You need a couples therapist and one for yourself,” another chimed in.
“Britney [sic] is the best woman you will ever have. I hope you figure out what YOU need to do to be a better husband,” a third added.

However, Taylor’s response came hours after he claimed Cartwright, 35, had been “sleeping with” another person since they called it quits in February.
“you may want to ask brittany who she’s been sleeping with for the past 4 months….” he wrote in a now-deleted tweet.
While the father of one didn’t provide additional details, he revealed he and Cartwright were “open to dating other people” last week on their joint podcast.

In “The Valley” season finale, Cartwright opened up about the “toxic” argument that prompted her to leave Taylor.
She explained to co-stars Janet Caperna, Michelle Saniei and Nia Booko that Taylor was always out at bars and would have “these horrible hangovers that would make him mean as a f–king snake.”
Cartwright recalled the day she packed up her belongings, grabbed their 3-year-old son, Cruz, and left after her estranged husband screamed at her for hours.
“I just kind of hit this point where I started noticing everything that he did to me,” she explained.

Since breaking up, the Kentucky native has been candid about her broken relationship with Taylor, revealing they often argued when she “was making more money” than him.
She also opened up about their lack of intimacy, revealing they only had sex “twice in the past year” before splitting.
Meanwhile, Taylor was recently rumored to be dating model Paige Woolen, which he denied.
