Karthi, one of the finest actors in Kollywood, has a huge market in the Tamil and Telugu states. His stardom is now at its peak with back-to-back victories, resulting in tremendous business numbers for his upcoming projects. Karthi’s 25th film ‘Japan’ has done the highest pre-business collection in his career.
According to the trade, Japan has hit the roof with its pre-release business already hitting close to 150 crores. The movie’s digital and theatrical rights are sold at whopping prices owing to the actor’s hit streak. Sources say that Karthi has completed shooting for the talkie portions of the film expect a grand song.
The makers are erecting a huge set for this big-budget song shoot. Directed by Raju Murugan, Japan is gearing up for a Diwali 2023 release. On the work front, he is also shooting for ‘Karthi 26’ with director Nalan Kumarasamy. It will be wrapped up by October. He will start ‘Karthi 27’ with director Premkumar in November followed by ‘Sardar 2’ and ‘Kaithi 2’ in 2024.
