Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’s highly anticipated film, ‘Indian 2’, is coming to cinemas on July 12th. Directed by Shankar, this film is a sequel to the 1996 vigilante blockbuster of the same name. We already broke to you that ‘Indian’ will have a re-release as a prelude to the sequel.
Producer AM Rathnam made the official announcement regarding the re-release of ‘Indian’ (1996). Sharing a new poster, Sri Surya Movies tweeted that the film will hit the screens again in Tamil and Telugu on June 7th. The re-release trailer will be unveiled tomorrow. It is worth mentioning that AM Rathnam recently re-released the Thalapathy Vijay starrer ‘Ghilli’ which created a new all-India record in re-releases.
Kamal Haasan will be seen as Senapathy, a freedom fighter turned vigilante and his son Chandru, a corrupt government employee. The film also stars Manisha Koirala, Sukanya, Goundamani, Senthil and many others. The first part had music composed by AR Rahman while Anirudh scored the music for the sequel.
