If you’re a TV show aficionado, you might know this series that hit screens back in 2016, but turns out it’s fallen under the radar for some.
There are plenty of productions to take your pick from these days, and with hits such as Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders and The Mandalorian, it’s easy to get side-tracked by the most talked-about and miss those hidden gems.
And it turns out there’s one show which has stunned viewers with its dystopian mind games, but has gone unnoticed by some TV buffs.
With an incredible cast comprising of stars such as Evan Rachel Wood, Thandiwe Newton, Ed Harris, James Marsden, Luke Hemsworth, Aaron Paul and Anthony Hopkins, it’s almost impossible to think that so many people haven’t heard of it.

We’re of course talking about Westworld.
The show is based in a technologically advanced Wild-West-themed amusement park, with the IMDb series synopsis adding: “At the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, waits a world in which every human appetite can be indulged without consequence.”
The series was created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, based upon the 1973 film of the same name.
The show received an amazing amount of love from those who watched it, but the giant scissors reached its way out of the network and HBO announced in November 2022 that it had cancelled the series.
This three-season show is an absolute banger, with elements of Western, Cyber Punk, dystopia and good old, twisted timelines, but fans of the series are divided over the last season.
But why is no one talking about it?
Some comments on X – formerly Twitter – regarding the series talked about the brilliance of Westworld and how it’s a hidden gem.

One person wrote: “Westworld the best show I done seen since game of thrones no cap”.
Another person commented: “Westworld is one of the best TV shows ever made but for some strange reason people don’t talk about it”.
This led to a lot of division in the responses as to why people don’t talk about the series.
“It’s too intellectually charged for most people to watch. I’m on season 3 right now,” quipped a user.
Another penned: “Season one and two were amazing…
“Season three with the new storyline, not so much
“Its still a really good show.”
Someone else was upset that the show was cut short: “The fact that I had no idea HBO cancelled the best damn show they aired! Tf. Westworld was a really good show.
“They could’ve at least gave us one more season with a proper ending!”
