Developer Under the Bed Games and publisher Feardemic have finally revealed the release date for their upcoming title Tales from Candleforth. It will be coming out on PC and consoles on 30 April 2024. This is the first project from Under the Bed Games studio and got an amazing reception at gaming events.
It has won several awards such as ‘Best Puzzle Game’ at IndieDevDay 2023, ‘Best Art’ at Gamepolis 2022, and ‘Game of the Year’ at Indie Games Málaga 2023. You can check out the release date reveal trailer below and add it to your wishlist on all the platforms.
Tales from Candleforth is a 2D point-and-click folk horror game with puzzles and escape room elements. The narrative unfolds as a collection of fairy tales, written atop a forbidden book years ago to conceal its content. Years later, the dark ink seeps from the pages, mixing with them and twisting the stories.
The first tale is about a 16-year-old girl called Sarah, who is left alone to run the family apothecary. Her grandmother went missing a while ago, but one day, she stumbles upon clues indicating that she might still be alive. Sarah also discovers her new powers that only the women in her family can inherit. She embarks on an adventure of occultism, mystery, and horror to uncover her family’s secrets and the role she plays in them.
Join Sarah on this trip through madness and discover the mysteries hiding behind the surface of Candleforth. Along the way, you will solve puzzles and interact with the world to reveal the darkness within these twisted tales.
Tales from Candleforth will be available on GOG, Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
