Taylor announced the currently unnamed biopic in the spring of 2023. Visiting The Tamron Hall show, the R&B performer shared how she’s been studying various films including Angela Bassett’s performance as Tina Turner in What’s Love Got to Do with It (1993) and Jamie Foxx’s performance as Ray Charles in Ray (2004) in preparation for the role.
