Marvel Studios has released the trailer for its upcoming “Werewolf by Night in Color” special, finally showing off the colorized version of last year’s Marvel Cinematic Universe horror on-off.
As previously reported, the special has undergone a whole new color timing pass with specific colors boosted and contrast adjusted on a shot-by-shot basis.
The original filmed elements had to be rescanned and adjusted without losing the look of the original. The color scheme meanwhile aimed to emulate that of the classic Hammer horror films with their cooler overall palette along with a high emphasis on bright reds.
The film otherwise remains the same – a secret cabal of monster hunters emerge from the shadows and gather at the foreboding Bloodstone Temple following the death of their leader.
The attendees are thrust into a mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic–a hunt that will ultimately bring them face to face with a dangerous monster.
“Werewolf by Night in Color” hits Disney+ on Friday, October 20th.
