Virgin Music announces a new partnership with independent publisher, label, and management firm Position Music, with a catalog of more than 35,000 songs.
Virgin Music has announced its new partnership with Position Music, an independent publisher, record label, and management firm with a catalog of over 35,000 songs. With the partnership already in full swing, Position and Virgin have recently released content from artists like Kid Bloom, Ryan Oakes, Kyle Dion, Layto, 2WEI, and Blackway.
As part of the partnership, Virgin Music will distribute Position Music’s new releases and existing catalog and strategically assist in marketing and promoting Position’s frontline label roster. Position Music will continue to develop its roster through the partnership with the Virgin Music team.

They have an enormous sync business, and along with that, they are signing and developing some truly incredible artists. So excited to work with their artists and expect big things to come,” says Virgin Music’s President Jacqueline Saturn.

Founded in 1999 by Tyler Bacon, Position Music recently announced Vesper Company as a new strategic ownership partner. Since 2019, Position Music has more than doubled its headcount to 40 full-time employees, including a dedicated 11-person A&R team and a 12-person sync team.
The company began as a sync-forward music publisher but now offers full-service music publishing, record label services, music administration, and a small artist management team. The company’s campus in Burbank, CA, offers 15,000 square feet of office space and two recording studios, with four more world-class studios currently being built with plans to open this fall.
“Partnering with Virgin Music immediately upgraded our marketing, playlisting, and overall commercial efforts across the roster,” says J Scavo, GM of Recorded Music at Position Music. “When looking for a new partner, we had a laundry list of requirements, and Virgin handily checked every box.
