According to a new report by Deadline, ‘Max is open to the possibility of developing more than one idea based on Harry Potter.‘
Furthermore, the outlet also reports on the status of the TV show. As per Deadline, many writers are currently pitching their ideas for the premise, but none have been confirmed yet.
Martha Hillier, Kathleen Jordan, Tom Moran, and Michael Lesslie are among the writers involved in developing ideas about TV adaptations concerning Harry Potter. It is still in its infancy, and more than one writer can collaborate to create the end product.
At these early stages, it is tough to predict the storylines of the spinoffs, but some possibilities do emerge if we inspect the past work of the writers.
Hillier is no stranger to fantasy and drama, having created and produced ‘The Last Kingdom’ for the BBC, as well as working on popular British shows like ‘EastEnders’ and ‘Holby City’.
Jordan worked on the hilarious and heartfelt ‘Teenage Bounty Hunters’ on Netflix. Lesslie penned the blockbuster movie ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’, a thrilling prequel to the famous franchise. Finally, Moran is the mastermind behind ‘The Devil’s Hour,’ a spine-chilling supernatural thriller.
All four writers have worked on shows similar to Harry Potter in more ways than one. Therefore, the main goal will be to get the best fit and frame the perfect script to get the adaption up and running.
