In Episode 6 of “Banished from the Hero’s Party”, following Yarandrala’s suggestion, Red decides to leave Zoltan with Rit and Ruti until the new hero, Van, leaves the town. As they went on a vacation, Tisse decided to take care of Ruti’s farm, and Yarandrala decided to run Red’s shop. Danan decided to stay behind, too, just in case.
After Red and the others spent a few days in peace, Tisse’s pet spider brought them a letter that notified them about Van’s arrival at Zoltan. Ruti’s quiet life is safe for the time, but for how long, we can not say that yet. One day after arriving at Zoltan, Van went and killed a salt dragon nearby as per the cardinal’s orders.

2. Episode 7 Speculation
As Ruti is outside Zoltan with Red and Rit, she is essentially out of any mishaps that could happen. Everything will be fine as long as she isn’t discovered by the new hero, Van. Van is a bit too righteous and totally moral, so if he saw the former hero, Ruti, abandoning her duties, a fight would surely break out.
For the time being, it seems like that isn’t going to happen, but if it doesn’t, then the story will be too bland. It isn’t outrageous to speculate that in the next episode, with some twist of fate, Ruti will be found out by Van. If that really happens, how Red will protect Ruti is something we must see.

After learning about the new hero’s arrival, Red gathered everyone to make a plan and hide Ruti from Van. Since Van’s objective was to retrieve the demon king’s airship, Yarandrala suggested that Red Ruti and Rit leave Zoltan for a while. Red liked this idea, so the three of them went on a vacation.

They went to the village of Durand and decided to return when the others sent some kind of message of affirmation. While they were spending a peaceful vacation there, one day, they met a village local named Kate. Red and the others found Kate sitting on the road from the pain in her neck.
They brought her back to the tavern, and after examining her, Red realized she was poisoned through an injury. With Rit and Ruti’s help, he prepared a medicine that helped get rid of the toxin. In return for helping Kate, the villagers bombarded Red with all sorts of gifts to show their appreciation.
After a few days, as their peaceful lives continued, Van arrived at Zoltan. He immediately wanted to go and get the ship, but since Tisse killed their agent, it wasn’t possible. Later that night, Tisse sent a letter to Red, Rit, and Ruti informing them about Van’s arrival.

Being unable to go for the ship immediately, Van became unreasonably irritated and lashed out at the waiter in the tavern. Escarlata, also known as Theodora, took him outside and talked to him about this behavior. However, his answers and his beliefs shocked her to the core. The cardinal came and let him know that they were going to kill a salt dragon the next day.
