Kier, ISG and Galliford Try are among the firms to have landed slots on a £1bn framework for public-sector projects in the North West of England.
The contractors are among 11 to win places on the North West Construction Hub’s Medium Value Construction Framework, which runs until 2026.
The agreement covers building work for all types of project aside from residential. Examples of potential projects stated in the contract award notice include daycare centres, crematoriums, civic centres, halls of residence and airport buildings.
There were 18 tenders, with 11 of those being successful.

The last iteration of the Medium Value Framework, in 2019, saw 13 contractors appointed. Kier, Galliford Try, Conlon, Warden, Equans (Engie) and Robertson all retained their places on the latest list.
Established in 2009, North West Construction Hub is legally a part of Manchester City Council, but is led by a board comprised of a number of different public sector clients.
It is used by local authorities, emergency services, educational and healthcare institutions and others in the region.
In January 2023, ISG and Kier also made it onto the hub’s High Value Construction Framework alongside firms including Vinci, Sir Robert McAlpine and Morgan Sindall.
In September, Vinci landed a £90m contract to redevelop St Helens town centre through the framework, while Eric Wright was appointed to a £30m affordable housing job in Lancaster via the same route.
