Coronation Street’s Emrhys Cooper had fans swooning over his ‘hot’ shirtless snaps. The 39 year old Rowan Cunliffe actor looked worlds away from his soap character as he showed off his incredible physique on Instagram.
The star has recently been at the centre of a dark storyline in Weatherfield, with Rowan becoming a cult leader, manipulating Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) as he drags her into his web. She’s already ignored her friends and family, walked out on work and spent money on ‘wellness’ products while Rowan tried to convince her to invest £40,000 in his business.
It’s been confirmed that Emrhys – who spent his own childhood living in a cult – will now be leaving the soap, even though his character’s behaviour is set to escalate in the coming months.

In one of his pictures, Emrhys could be seen enjoying a day out in the sun on a luxury boat as he showed off his impressive, tatooed body in a pair of blue and white swim shorts.
He captioned it: “Boat days – thanks @sitgesgroupapartments for an amazing stay & for organizing a fun boat day. Loved the apartment, great communication. Highly recommend using them when visiting Sitges.”
In another, he could be seen displaying his abs, captioning it: “Documenting my abs before they disappear.” Surprised fans were quick to rush to the comments. “Oh my goodness sexy,” said one person, with another writing: “You are too handsome to be real.” A third simply commented: “Omg so f*****g hot.”
A third picture, posted just a few days ago, saw Emrhys proudly clutching a medal at the end of a 15K cross country race. He captioned it: Thanks @maverickrace for getting me inspired this morning and to the beautiful Cotswolds countryside for the stunning vistas. Best advice for cross country long distance; stay hydrated, put a big smile on your face and most importantly, enjoy it!” He added: “Running is the new raving.”
Impressed fans again rushed to the comments, with one simply saying: “Sexy boy x.” Another said: “Well done looking lovely.” A third wrote: “Looking hot to trot literally Emrhys and well done to both of you. Healthy living and glorious location.”
The star has enjoyed a varied career as an actor, dancer, singer-songwriter and artist. His impressive skills have taken him around the world, landing roles in legendary shows like Desperate Housewives and CSI:NY. Emrhys also starred in Mamma Mia! the musical, a highlight in his career that saw him globetrotting as a performer. He made his West End debut at just 21 when he scored a role in the famous Queen musical We Will Rock You.
Before this, he took on a role in the national UK tour of Fame The Musical. Not just an actor, but a model and dancer too, Emrhys has worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry. He’s worked alongside Madonna, the Pussycat Dolls and Christina Aguilera to name a few. He even played the ‘lift boy’ in the music video for the Sugababes number one hit single, Push The Button.
