Ottawa firefighters were able to contain a fire in a Lowertown townhome on Sunday afternoon, preventing it from spreading to adjacent residences.
The fire broke out in the six-unit building on Beausoleil Drive at around 4:30 p.m., with neighbours ensuring that residents were evacuating the neighbouring homes.
According to Ottawa Fire Services, the blaze was declared under control just before 5 p.m. There were no injuries reported.
The fire’s origin and cause remain unknown. An Ottawa fire investigator was dispatched to the scene to investigate.
