The Great British Bake Off’s return to the small screen is imminent, where 12 people will compete for the star baker title, but do you remember these former contestants?
The Great British Bake Off is returning to TV screens on Tuesday, 26 September, with a fresh set of amateur bakers ready to enter the iconic tent.
The 2023 series of the hit Channel 4 show will see Alison Hammond make her debut as co-host alongside Noel Fielding, after she was confirmed as comedian Matt Lucas’ replacement.
Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood will once again be judging the contestants’ bakes, going on to decide who will be crowned the UK’s best amateur baker.
More than 150 bakers have passed through the famous tent since the first episode of the iconic show aired on BBC 2 back in August 2010.
While some have returned to their day jobs, many have carved out incredible careers in the culinary world.
However, sadly, one contestant has tragically passed away since appearing on GBBO in 2014.
