Richie Anderson has seen his celebrity status continue to rise over recent years, thanks to his stint on Strictly Come Dancing and joining the cast of Celebrity Gogglebox. The 36 year old is best-known for presenting segments across BBC Radio 2, most notably travel news.
Richie also occasionally features on The One Show, where he reports on a number of topics, and he was part of the team that fronted coverage of the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool last year. He’s now joined the celebrity edition of Gogglebox, alongside Paralympian Ellie Simmonds.
One person who is always cheering Richie on is his partner Dean Eagles. Let’s take a look into their relationship…

Richie has been in a relationship with partner Dean for over 11 years. While Richie is now a well-known figure in the showbiz world, his boyfriend prefers to keep a low profile and not much is known about him.
Dean occasionally features on Richie’s social media accounts, with the couple posting selfies from fun holidays and days out together. The duo marked their 10-year anniversary in December 2022, shortly after Richie’s stint on Strictly Come Dancing came to a close.
Dean and Richie celebrated their relationship milestone with a cruise trip to Europe. Presumably because of Richie’s upcoming work commitment, the pair celebrated their anniversary early in July 2022.

“The most special (early*) 10-year anniversary celebrations with my @deanoeagles,” Richie wrote at the time. “Our first ever cruise and what a way to do it on the beautiful @celebritycruisesuk we even got a selfie with the main man himself @travelwithcaptaintasos.”
It was Dean who encouraged Richie to take part in BBC’s Strictly, having told the radio host it would be a special opportunity to celebrate their relationship and Pride. Richie danced with male professional dancer Giovanni Pernice on the BBC show.
“When I spoke to my other half Dean, it was our 10-year anniversary, and he was like ‘you have to [do it]’,” Richie previously said about Strictly. “And it’s the 50th anniversary of Pride in the UK. It would be such a proud moment to be dancing with a male pro.”

Unfortunately, Richie’s dancing stint was cut short when he and Giovanni were voted out of the competition in the second week of the series. The pair danced a fun samba to Hakuna Matata from the much-loved Disney movie, but sadly the judges opted to save Fleur East and Vito Coppola over Richie and Giovanni.
