Planning to stay indoors during the total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, but don’t want to miss out on what could be a once-in-a-lifetime event? Scroll down for a live video of the phenomenon.
NASA will be hosting an official broadcast of the eclipse on Monday starting at 1 p.m., with live views of the moon passing in front of the sun from across the United States.

The telescope feed will include views from multiple locations and will be swapped around based on weather, the eclipse’s progress and feed availability, NASA said.

The total solar eclipse is a show millions of people in North America and elsewhere are eager to see. So many people, in fact, the Niagara Region declared a state of emergency last week in anticipation of a million visitors heading there to catch a glimpse of the spectacle.
Though not along the path of totality, residents of Ottawa will witness a partial eclipse — 98.87 per cent obscurity — without leaving the city. To watch the solar eclipse safely, proper eclipse-viewing glasses are a necessity.
