While skincare is crucial in the fight against ageing, there are certain things that even the most meticulous skincare routine can’t fix. One such issue is drooping eyelids, which can start to sag over time as the levator muscle, responsible for holding up your lids, stretches and weakens with age.
Even though a good eye cream can delay this process, usually the only way to completely rectify sagging lids is through a surgical eye lift. Lydia posted a video of herself testing out the eyelid strips on her TikTok, where she can be seen meticulously using a pair of tweezers and her fingers to position the strips on her eyelids. After applying the Lids by Design strips, she uses the flat edge of the tweezers (included in the set) to ensure it’s smooth, before letting it adhere to where her lid naturally folds, giving her eyelid an immediate lift.
To use the strips, you need to start with clean, dry skin, so make sure there’s no leftover eye cream or serum on your lids. You’ll want to place the strip at the inner corner of your lid where the crease begins and continue to follow the line across to help minimise its visibility.
Contours Rx does say it can take a while getting the hang of applying its strips, as it might take a few tries to perfect the technique. They offer a variety of widths from 4mm to 8mm, allowing you to choose based on your desired look and the size of your eyelid area and crease, reports the Mirror.
