The Ottawa police are trying to identify a suspect after a months-long series of gas pump thefts across Ottawa.
Between June 2023 and February 2024, a male suspect pulled into various gas stations, left the vehicle, filled the tank and then left without paying, police said in a news release Monday.

His vehicle was described as a white 2015 Nissan Murano with Quebec licence plate 998 LPC the last time it was seen.

The suspect police are trying to ID was described as a white male, 170-200 pounds, 30-50 years old with a medium build and short hair. In each incident, he is seen wearing different clothing.
Anyone with information about the identity of the individual or information about these incidents was asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Alternative Response Section at 613-236-1222, extension 5300. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or at crimestoppers.ca.
