Provincial police are investigating what they have described as a “suspicious death” in the village of Athens.
In a message Saturday morning, Leeds County OPP said members responded to an address on Main Street at about 8:15 a.m.

A young man was found deceased at the scene.
Forensic specialists, and representatives from the provincial coroner’s office are on site investigating.

“A heavy police presence will remain for several hours to allow for a complete and thorough investigation. Please avoid the area,” police said.
There were no further details.
