Ottawa police are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect in a bank robbery in the 1400 block of Merivale Road on Oct. 21.
The suspect entered the unnamed bank at 3:37 p.m. and demanded money from staff.

He then attempted to break into a cash dispenser and stole money from a customer.
The suspect was described as a “middle-aged white man,” about six feet tall. Security pictures from the scene indicated the suspect was carrying a dark-coloured sports-type bag.
The release did not say whether a weapon was used.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPS robbery unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5116.
