When it comes to Love Island, we can expect three things; drama, romance, and bikinis. From showstopping entrance looks to the perfect lounging by the pool ensembles, this year’s All Stars cast have been making sure they don’t disappoint when it comes to a knockout beachwear look.
One bikini in particular that caught our eye was Liberty Poole’s lace-up halterneck bikini, which at first glance looks relatively tame in terms of the daring cut out numbers Love Islanders of seasons past have been sporting.
However, on closer inspection, it turns out that it’s not as simple as it first appeared, with the plunging bikini actually being made from denim. Your instant reaction might be to wince in horror at the thought of wearing a denim bikini (because, same), but the matching Adelaide set from Pour Moi is made from a waterproof denim-look material, rather than the cotton-based material we’ve come to know and love.

The set, which includes an Underwired Lace Up Longline Top, £36 here, and the matching Denim V-Shape Brief, £20 here, is the perfect unexpected take on the double denim trend that’s been spotted everywhere lately, and it’s been carefully designed and cut to be both flattering and supportive for curves.
The longline top is the perfect pick for those of you with larger busts thanks to its underwiring which helps lift and support your chest, whilst the tie halterneck fastening makes it fully adjustable so you can fasten it where you need it.

It also has an adjustable lace up front that lets you pull it tighter or looser to change the coverage and support it gives you, whilst the longline fit helps prevent annoying digging in that can be caused by narrower back bands. All in all, the perfect bikini top for curves.
Similarly, the Denim V-Shape Brief, £20 here, has been carefully cut to flatter and accentuate your body’s curves, and full-coverage lovers can rejoice because it has a full brief-style back, rather than a super high cut or thong-style fit that’s been favoured by Islanders in the past.

However, it seems Liberty may have swapped out the matching briefs for a different pair, as she was spotted with a much thinner, high-sided pair of bikini bottoms paired with her Adelaide Underwired Lace Up Longline Top, £36 here.
Although we’re not 100% sure which bottoms she opted for, we found an almost identical pair at Boden, with the Symi String Bikini Bottoms, £30 here, which have the same deep navy hue and adjustable tie sides just like Liberty’s. Who knew denim at the beach could look so good?
