MANILA, Philippines — Three weather systems – easterlies, inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ) and localized thunderstorms – will bring isolated or scattered rain showers cin most parts of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.
Weather specialist Robert Badrina said easterly winds are particularly affecting eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, Quezon and Aurora where overcast skies with scattered downpours and thunderstorms would be likely.
The ITCZ is bringing cloudy skies with scattered downpours and thunderstorms in South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and Davao Occidental, Pagasa said.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will likely have isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
“Generally, fair weather conditions may prevail especially in Luzon while hot weather would be likely during noontime until mid-afternoon,” Badrina said.
