An 80-year-old man has suffered injuries after a 30-foot plunge from Spanish cliff
An 80-year-old British climber has suffered horror injuries after a 30-foot plunge from a Spanish cliff.
He suffered multiple injuries after the fall near the Costa Blanca town of Moraira on Sunday afternoon.
The pensioner was taken to Doctor Balmis Hospital in Alicante by air ambulance.
Photographs from the scene showed a team of rescuers surrounding him on the side of a cliff.
A fire service spokesperson told local media: “Our rescue team has assisted in the rescue of an 80-year-old British climber in Murla.
“He suffered multiple injuries following a 32ft fall.
“He was taken to a fire station in Denia where an ambulance was waiting to take him to hospital.”
