The Railway police have sent the bodies for post-mortem

In a shocking and sad incident, a father-son duo killed themselves by lying in front of an incoming train in Maharashtra. Jay Mehta (33) and Harish Mehta (60) died by suicide near the Bhayandar station in the Palghar district on Monday around 9.30 am. The reason for their drastic step is not known. Both of them were residents of Nalasopara.
A CCTV video shows the two walking together on the platform. They then step down and start walking on the tracks. As a train approaches from the other side, they hold hands and quickly move to the incoming train’s tracks and lie down. The train then runs them over.

The Railway police have sent the bodies for post-mortem. Police have registered a case of accidental death and launched an investigation.
The incident was reported from platform number 6 of Bhayander railway station. The train was going from Virar to Churchgate.
