4. YQR Food Truck Wars

The duelling kitchens on wheels are back for their annual outdoor event running Friday (4-9 p.m.) and Saturday (noon to 9 p.m.) at The Yards on Dewdney.

In addition to a food truck competition, the free-of-charge event also features a beer garden, music, adult scavenger hunts, giant beer pong, cornhole tournaments, and a show and shine car display.

5. Celebrate the launch of Queer Fit Club YQR with a pop up fitness class
