What do you get when a group of circus performers, a detective, and a world-famous 70s’ pop band walk into your favourite bar? A water-cooler story your colleagues would never believe.

That’s just a sampling of what Regina has in store this weekend.

1. Paranormal Cirque

Sure, you could curl up on a Sunday night with a cozy horror movie, but how often do you get the chance to visit the dark world itself?

Paranomal Cirque offers its guests a two-hour theatric immersion of the cabaret, comedy replete with demon sword swallowers, a machete-wielding serial killer and zombies (of course).

The show runs in Regina until the end of the month at the JYSK parking lot of the Victoria  Square Shopping Centre, with two shows every Saturday and Sunday night, along with an evening show every weeknight except Tuesday.

2. ABRA Cadabra and Abba

Will throwback nights ever go out style? Not this Friday night, for ABBA fans looking for an event to relive their favourite songs and albums.

Tribute band ABRA Cadabra, known for its nostalgic performances, lively nature and dazzling costumes will host a concert at the Conexus Arts Centre on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

3. Escape The City – Regina

Looking to unleash your inner Sherlock Holmes? Bring your best magnifying glass, your cape and your favourite crew to this Saturday’s outdoor escape room style event.

Suitable for all ages, participants will explore the city hunting for clues and solving puzzles across various locations.

4. YQR Food Truck Wars

The duelling kitchens on wheels are back for their annual outdoor event running Friday (4-9 p.m.) and Saturday (noon to 9 p.m.) at The Yards on Dewdney.

In addition to a food truck competition, the free-of-charge event also features a beer garden, music, adult scavenger hunts, giant beer pong, cornhole tournaments, and a show and shine car display.

5. Celebrate the launch of Queer Fit Club YQR with a pop up fitness class

Pride Week may be over, but you can still celebrate this Saturday with a fitness class hosted by Queer Fit Club YQR.

The pop up fitness club is committed to providing inclusive and accessible fitness for +2SLGTBQ individuals and allies of all sizes, body types, and fitness goals. Bring your shoes and your water bottle and leave the good vibes to them!
