Also: Bridge on Highway 19 is closed, and REM will start late on Saturday and Sunday.

Major road closures to note this weekend:

Highway 40

The Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge will be closed from midnight to 5 a.m. on Friday, and again from 11:59 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, to set up a reversible centre lane on the bridge. The closure will be between Anciens-Combattants Blvd. in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue and St-Charles Ave. in Vaudreuil-Dorion, though access to Senneville Rd. will be maintained. Starting Monday, the middle lane will operate toward Montreal from midnight to 10 a.m. weekdays, and toward Vaudreuil-Dorion from noon to 10 p.m. weekdays and all weekends. The toll on the Highway 30 bridge will be suspended on the weekend and public transit services are free on some off-island routes.

Highway 19

The Papineau-Leblanc Bridge between Montreal and Laval will be completely closed between 10 p.m. Friday and 4:30 a.m. Monday.

Highway 13

Exit 12 northbound (Samson and Notre-Dame Blvds.) will be closed between 11 p.m. Friday and 3:30 a.m. Monday. Several lanes on the highway will be closed in the area overnights.

Route 117

Marcel-Laurin Blvd. will be completely closed in both directions between Décarie Blvd. and St-Louis St., from 5 p.m. Saturday to 11 a.m. Sunday, for work by the city of Montreal.

Upcoming

Highway 10: The Bonaventure Expressway will have two lanes in each direction between the Peel Basin and Victoria Bridge from Monday to Aug. 15. Exit 3 (Carrie-Derick St.) will be closed during that time.

REM

Service on the Réseau express métropolitain will start at 7:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday to allow for a systems update. Shuttle buses will be available between 5:30 and 7:30 a.m.

Ongoing disruptions

Highway 13: In Laval, one to three lanes will be closed southbound for resurfacing work between 8 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. (7 or 8 a.m. on weekends), between Samson Blvd. and the Louis-Bisson Bridge to Montreal, until June 29.Highway 15: In Laval, asphalt and repair work will be done between Médéric-Martin Bridge, which connects to Montreal, and Cartier Blvd. Three of four lanes will be closed in one direction at a time overnights.Highway 20: In Pointe-Claire, the ramp from Sources Blvd. to Highway 20 west is closed until July. The access to Sources from southbound Donegani Ave. is also closed until Monday.Highway 40: In Baie-D’Urfé and Kirkland, reconstruction work on the eastbound highway between Morgan and St-Charles Blvds. will disrupt traffic with partial closures overnights.Highway 40: In Town of Mount Royal, the Côte-de-Liesse Rd. service road is partly closed eastbound between Sunset and Athlone Rds. until July.Highway 50: In Mirabel, work to replace lighting systems between Route 117 and Louis-Bisson St. and the Highway 15 interchange will require complete closures and major detours overnights, particularly for heavy trucks and people working at Mirabel airport.Route 136: The Guy St. exit eastbound is closed until the fall.Highway 440: In Laval, asphalt work is being done on the eastbound service road between Highway 13 and Industriel Blvd., overnight between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., affecting entrances and exits, until the winter.Highway 520: The highway is closed in both directions at Hickmore St., with traffic detoured via the service roads, until the end of the year.
