Jose Mourinho got a hero’s welcome as he was unveiled as Fenerbahce’s new head coach.
The Portuguese boss was named as the new boss of the Turkish giants after penning a deal and was greeted by thousands of fans at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.

Speaking to those in attendance, he said: “First of all, I want to thank you for the love that I felt from the first moment that my name was connected with Fenerbahce.
“Normally a coach is loved after victories but in this case I feel I am loved before victories.
“For me, that is a big responsibility that I feel and I promise you that from this moment I belong to your family – this shirt is my skin.
“Football is passion and there is no better place to feel that passion.

“Since the moment that I met with President Ali Koc, I wanted to play for you because in the end you are the soul of the football club and from the moment I met him and understood his ideas I wanted to play for you and be the coach for all of you.
“I want to work for Turkish football, I want to work for the Turkish league and help to improve, but the most important thing is Fenerbahce.
“Just to finish I want to say that from the moment I signed my contract, your dreams are now my dreams.”
Mourinho had been out of work since leaving Roma in January, however he has been keeping busy by doing punditry work for TNT Sports at the Champions League final.

As well as aiming a cheeky dig at Arsene Wenger, Mourinho made the most of an exchange with Jude Bellingham by jokingly asking him to join him at Fenerbahce.
But the former Chelsea and Manchester United boss used his stage at Wembley to confirm the news of his new job, saying in a video posted by Fenerbahce: “Merhaba Fenerbahce fans.

Mourinho’s new job will be his tenth job in football management and his first in Turkey.
