Mamelodi Sundowns could beat Orlando Pirates to the signing of AmaZulu FC winger Tshepang Moremi, the Siya crew has been informed by insiders privy to information.
Soccer Laduma had previously reported how both Masandawana and Bucs were linked with Moremi.

Now, Siya sources close to both the Brazilians and the Buccaneers have indicated that Sundowns are in front of the queue to potentially land the signature of the 23-year-old winger.
“As it stands now, Sundowns are in the lead. They have already tabled an offer for Moremi and you know most times when Sundowns have gone in front to sign a player they normally get him,” said the Siya source.
“It’s tough because Orlando Pirates are also interested in him so it will all depend on what AmaZulu are looking at. It could go to the highest bidder at the end of the day,” the source said.

A second Siya source added that Sundowns could use their on loan defender Sifiso Ngobeni as a way to convince AmaZulu to choose Masandawana as the destination for Moremi.
“It seems Sifiso (Ngobeni) could be involved in the deal. You know he is on loan at AmaZulu and they would also need him next season should (Riaan) Hanamub move away as there is also interest in him. So, if it’s like that then it even puts Sundowns in an advantageous position.
“But as you know, in football you are only sure when the deal is done and dusted even if the offer is on the table like Sundowns have done now,” the source observed.
So far this season Moremi has been incredibly consistent in his appearances and performances for Usuthu.
Soccer Laduma contacted AmaZulu FC PRO Philani Ndlela who provided an official comment from the club regarding interest in their player.
“Not that we know of or officially received by us. There’s no offer for the boy from anywhere at the moment,” Ndlela told Soccer Laduma.
AmaZulu’s statement doesn’t rule out interest, and there is time for Pirates or any other interested club to step up in negotiations.
Soccer Laduma contacted Mamelodi Sundowns and the club chose not to comment on this story.
