Steve signed for TEAMtalk on loan in 2019 before making the move permanent in 2021. His initial entry into the industry came as a freelancer while studying towards a Sports Journalism degree at Leeds Trinity University. Upon graduating with a First, a full-time role awaited. While he enjoys virtually all sports including Rugby League, Formula One and Baseball, his true passion is for the greatest sport of all – Football. Steve is a lifelong Liverpool fan despite being born and raised in Leeds. He began to wonder if he’d ever see Liverpool crowned kings of England after their near misses in 2009, 2014 and 2019. Thankfully for Steve’s sanity, the Reds delivered the goods in 2020. While he adores Jurgen Klopp and would happily see him given a lifetime contract, he secretly harbours a desire to see Steven Gerrard at the helm. Watching the Reds legend finally lift the Premier League trophy might be the greatest sight a true Liverpool fan is yet to see.
