The Champions League is back! After some time away, the Champions League Group Stage will be back in business on Tuesday. Real Sociedad will hit the road to play their first game against Benfica in the Group Stage at 3:00 p.m. ET at Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica (da Luz). The winner and runner up of this group (Group D) will advance to the knockout phase, while the team finishing third will have one more chance in the Europa League.
On October 3rd, Real Sociedad kept a clean sheet against Salzburg. Real Sociedad walked away with a 2-0 win over Salzburg. Real Sociedad’s two goals came from Mikel Oyarzabal at minute seven and Brais Méndez at minute 27.

Real Sociedad now has a winning record of 1-1-0. As for Benfica, their loss dropped their record down to 0-0-2.
