BYD has introduced the YANGWANG U9, its premier pure electric supercar model under the YANGWANG high-end sub-brand. Priced at 1.68 million RMB, deliveries are set to commence this summer.

The e4 Platform features a power system with four independent electric motors, offering agile and precise four-wheel torque control, ensuring the ultimate in safety, performance, and user experience. The BYD DiSus-X Intelligent Body Control System enables the U9 to achieve a maximum adjustable suspension travel of up to 75mm and a peak single-axis lifting speed of 500mm/s, providing over 1 ton of instantaneous lifting force. This system enhances driving dynamics and comfort across various driving scenarios, such as braking, acceleration, cornering, and road impacts, while also enabling a unique feature where the U9 can synchronize its movements to music.

In recent tests, the YANGWANG U9 achieved a top speed of 309.19 km/h and accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.36 seconds, with a 0-400m sprint in 9.78 seconds. The U9’s thermal management system has been optimized for high-temperature resistance, doubling its maximum cooling capacity. Equipped with the Blade Battery, the U9 facilitates efficient discharging and cooling, while the Dual Plug-in Ultra-fast charging technology supports a maximum charging power of 500 kW. Additionally, 12 sets of active and passive aerodynamic packages enhance heat dissipation efficiency and reduce drag coefficient.
The U9 features the Super Carbon-fiber Cabin, incorporating various materials and next-generation CTB technology, resulting in unprecedented torsional stiffness of 54425N·m/deg and a roof compressive load capacity exceeding 11 tons, ensuring comprehensive travel safety.
Intelligent Cabin Experience
The YANGWANG U9 boasts the DiLink150 intelligent platform, powered by customized 4nm 5G chips, offering an intelligent racing assistant tailored for track driving. With detailed information on nearly 30 racetracks across China, drivers can access a range of track-specific services.
Inside the cockpit, the U9 features two 14-way adjustable seats for enhanced comfort and the Dynaudio Evidence Series high-end audio system, providing an immersive auditory experience.
