As DDR5 RAM becomes more accessible with great performance gains over DDR4, there’s almost no reason not to consider opting for it when building a PC these days.
This time, we have got the KLEVV CRAS V RGB memory kit from ESSENCORE to test out on our system, the kit we got is the 16GBx2 kit that supports Intel XMP and AMD EXPO memory profiles of DDR5-6000, while boasting an impressive memory timing of 30-36-36-76.
The kit comes in a nice and elegant matte box with the RAM sticks printed in a glossy finish, giving it a bit of a classy feel that any PC builders will be happy when unboxing it.
On the back, it shows the product’s USP in bullet points and I definitely feel more assured to know that it has been rigorously tested for the highest quality and reliability.
The KLEVV CRAS V RGB isn’t a fancy hardware with geometrical shapes and all, but it’s got a nice matte aluminum finish that comes in either black or white color, hence there’s no need to hesitate which color looks best when building your system, just pick one that match your case color anyway.
Nice RGB Lighting for a clean build!
On top of the RAM is a simple looking RGB bar that has been certified to work with most motherboard brand’s RGB system, and it is one of the nicest looking lights we have seen on a RAM that doesn’t look too aggressive.
Test System Specifications

Benchmarks and Overclocking
After installing the RAM sticks into our system, the RAM’s XMP Profile is automatically enabled without the need to enter the BIOS. Given that this is a DDR5-6000 RAM, I’m quite impressed that ESSENCORE has managed to do CL30 on XMP profile, this means we can expect reduced latency in app and game loading speeds in the real world.
Running AIDA64 on the default XMP profile and timings, you can already see an impressive 90.5GB/s of read, 84GB/s of write and 83.3GB/s of copy speeds with a latency of 69.6ns.
I also have no issues of bumping up the memory speeds to DDR5-6400 without changing the timings and voltage, which a simple speed upgrade for those who aren’t too familiar with overclocking settings
My personal limit goes till DDR5-6600 with a timing of 32-40-40-70 with a 1.4v voltage, which resulted in 5-7% speed improvement over the default XMP speed and timing, you can of course go over that if you aren’t the faint hearted but do keep note that you will need to have a good CPU and motherboard to get there.
Verdict
At RM609, the KLEVV CRAS V RGB is a reasonably priced DDR5 RAM kit that offers impressive performance and overclocking headroom, while its design isn’t the fanciest of all, it is at least available in black and white color options that will satisfy more system builders, the product series is also available in higher clock speeds of up to 8000MT/s, which you can opt for if you are willing to pay for more, but we believe this’d be more than sufficient since you can easily overclock it to get more performance.
Head here to buy one.
